Saily Ultra eSim: Overview and Review
In this blog post, I’ll share with you what Saily Ultra is and what it includes.
Saily is the company behind the VPN service NordVPN, which you may have heard of.
I have used Saily eSims for a while now and I’ve always found their app easy to use with affordable prices for their eSim packages and plans.
While I haven’t tried this plan myself, Saily Ultra seems like a really interesting service though, and I would be keen to try it out in the future.
For now, let’s dive a bit deeper into what this package entails!
What is Saily Ultra?
Saily Ultra is a relatively new eSim package and service that is designed for long term travellers and those that need a bigger data package when traveling. It is basically a premium monthly eSim subscription plan which includes the following:
30 GB of high-speed data every months
priority support
8% cashback in credits
a subscription to the Nord Security suite (NordVPN, NordPass, NordLocker, and Incogni).
With Saily Ultra, you basically don’t have to buy a new data plan in every country and destination that you go to. It works in 113 countries, so you basically just get the subscription and not worry about anything. It’s therefore especially interesting for people who travel a lot, specifically when you travel internationally.
What are the features of Saily Ultra?
Here are some of the main things that are included in a Saily Ultra subscription:
30 GB of high speed data - and after that unlimited data up to 1024kbps
Access to online security tools, such as Nordpass, NordVPN, NordLocker & incogni
Priority support - you get 24/7 support from Saily in case you run into any questions or issues.
8% cashback in credits - you can use these to spend on other mobile data plans
Ad blocker services
Web protection - Saily also helps you stay secure and blocks potential malicious domains while you’re browsing
Airport lounge access - you get access to a few lounges in selected airports
More perks coming soon - from what I understand, a few other perks are coming soon to the Ultra plan as well
How does it work?
It’s super easy to get a subscription! Simply download the Saily app and select the Ultra subscription. It’s a monthly plan so you will be charged every month for this service. Once you subscribe, you’ll get access right away and will also get an email with all the perks that are included (such as the airport lounges).
You can also cancel anytime directly via the app, which is quite convenient too. So if for instance you are planning to travel just for a few months, you can simply subscribe for those months and then cancel once you get back home.
How much does Saily Ultra cost?
The Saily Ultra subscription costs US$59.99 per month. Everything that was mentioned in the above features list is included in this price.
I actually think it is quite a good price for what you get. Of course, it depends a bit on how much you travel. If you don’t travel internationally a lot, or maybe just to a few countries, it might make more sense to get a country specific eSim card.
Saily Ultra vs Saily
The Saily regular eSim plans are pay-as-you-go. They are purchased once and do not renew automatically unless you enable auto top-up.

On the other hand, Saily Ultra renews automatically like a standard subscription service. This prevents service interruptions during travel and you don’t need to purchase new plans when moving between countries.
For whom does Saily Ultra make sense?
Saily Ultra is ideal for long-term travelers, digital nomads, and frequent flyers.
Especially for digital nomads who move from country to country, who may also need the gigabytes and the VPN services for work, as well as having a more relaxed travel experience with the access to the lounges.
Also for people who travel a lot for their work this subscription may make sense - they don’t have to get a new (e)Sim every time they travel outside their home country.
