Hotel Grounds
Lobby
The lobby and interior design of the hotel looks sleek and modern, with scandi style furniture, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere to the hotel.
I liked that there were plenty of sofas and seats in the lobby, that looked very homey. To the left of the reception, there is a winding staircase that goes up to the event space and the main restaurant of the hotel.
Pool & Gym
The pool is on the 18th floor and is an infinity pool with plenty of sun loungers. The pool was big enough to do some laps as well. The view from the pool area is lovely too - you can see the BTS station in the distance surrounded by the Bangkok skyscrapers. As with most pools in Bangkok, the water temperature is always perfect!
One thing I noticed though, is that I went to the pool around 4 or 5pm a few times, and it was always really crowded. When I went in the morning or midday, it was much more quiet.
The gym is on the 19th floor and is quite big for a hotel gym, and even features a squat rack which I find great. It’s maybe a tad bit too warm in the room; I think the aircon could be a bit stronger and/or colder.

Room
As requested, I got a King Standard room and it was really spacious. There’s also a big sofa, which makes the room feel very cozy and big. You can watch TV from there; something I prefer than watching it from the bed, to be honest!
The bed was big and comfy; I thought the mattress was firm but still soft enough.
If I have to point out one (small) thing that was a bit disappointing was the shower - I would expect a rain shower from a 5 star hotel room, but there was none. But other than that I thought the bathroom was convenient.
There was also a desk and working space, which I thought was great - especially because I had a bit of work to do during my stay. The desk was excellent for that! The internet speed was also fast - above 150 mbps at least.

Food
Breakfast at Bangkok ‘78
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the breakfast buffet at the main restaurant🥲.. But I checked some reviews about it and here is a summary:
People loved the selection of both Western and Asian breakfast items, there seems to be a lot of variety. There is also an order menu on top of the buffet, so you can order things like Avocado toast. The quality seems very high and overall, people loved the breakfast buffet.
ANJU Korean Rooftop Bar
On the top floor of the Sindhorn Midtown hotel, you’ll find a Korean restaurant and bar, which is outdoors. The view from up there is quite something! I would recommend you to go, especially at sunset.
I had dinner one night at the restaurant. The food is pretty good - I got a perilla oil soba noodle dish with pork, and it also comes with some kimchi and pickles. I thought the price was decent, especially for being in a 5 star hotel and on the rooftop.
They also seemed to have some interesting drinks and Korean-inspired cocktails. I didn’t try any, but they looked good.
Sip & Co
Sip & Co is the cafe at the lobby, where you can get coffee, drinks and lunch items, such as burgers and sandwiches. They also have desserts like cakes and ice creams, for the little ones!
I enjoyed a Matcha yuzu drink which was pretty good! It’s also a nice spot to work from for a bit or just hang out.

Service
I thought the service was quite excellent. I received an email one day before check-in which asked me to fill out some personal details and also if I prefer a room on a high floor or a low floor and if I had any special requests. Because I had booked a twin room, I asked if it would be possible to have a king bed instead, if there were any available, and also asked for a quiet room which I usually do.
When I went to check-in it was quite early (around 11am) but they had a room available and also all my requests could be met, which felt really nice!
If you are a Silver Elite member of IHG rewards, you also get 20% off at some of the restaurants, although not the Korean rooftop bar and in-room dining.
Another thing I valued is that they really tried their best to clean the room. I had to be in my room quite a bit as I had to work and had calls, so I would put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on. As soon as I left and it was off, someone would come and clean the room.

Location
The location of this hotel is super convenient - it’s a 5 minute walk to the Chit Lom BTS, there is a 7 eleven right next to the hotel and loads of restaurants and cafes close by. There are also two big malls in walking distance - Central Embassy and CentralWorld, as well as a department store, Central Chidlom.
You can also walk to the Lumphini park which is about a 12 minute walk.

Great and friendly service. Could check-in early, got a King bed as requested
Internet speed was fast in the room
Big pool and decent gym

CONS
Pool can be a bit crowded at peak times (e.g. 5-7pm) - maybe it was just during my stay, but I stayed in low season, so not sure how it is in high season
